AE Isolation Transformer plus High/Low Voltage Protector and Soft Start, 12KW or 15KVA, PRI or Input 240V, SEC or Output 120/240V, 50A 60Hz, Single phase

This transformer combines 3 complementary functions, which increase and improve the protection conditions on board.

Our Ae Isolation Transformer can replace or be equivalent to Charles 50 Amp Isolation Transformer and Hubbell HBL50A Isolation Transformer, with additional advantages and functions that these do not have.

1- FUNCTION : MARINE ISOLATION TRANSFORMER

* Provides galvanic isolation between the dock power supply and the vessel's electrical system

* Built-in voltmeter and ammeter, which allows easy monitoring of the power supplied by the dock pedestal

* With electrostatic shield between the primary and secondary, to discharge high voltage spikes from the dock to ground and protect electrical appliances/equipment on board

* Solves the problem of ground leakage currents, which can trip the dock pedestal breaker and the shore power input breaker on board

* Prevents electrolytic corrosion in engines, generators, propulsion shafts, heat exchangers, cooling system pipes and pumps and other metal parts in contact with sea water

2- FUNCTION : HIGH/LOW VOLTAGE AND OVERCURRENT PROTECTOR

* Through the monitor/LED display, this function allows to set limits for the input voltage, preventing very high or very low voltages from causing damage to the equipment being powered by the isolation transformer, both through the 240v and 120v outputs.

* The protector can also be set to establish overcurrent protection.

* The protection is easily programmable according to your needs.

* Factory setting: 255v High Voltage / 215v Low Voltage

* When the input voltage to the transformer exceeds 255v (High Voltage) or falls below 215v (Low Voltage), the transformer output voltage is interrupted/turned off, until the voltage returns within the set range. At that time, for safety reasons, a time delay is activated for reconnection, after which the voltage at the transformer output will be available/turned on again.

* Initial start-up time: 18 sec / Reconnection time after High/Low Voltage: 60 sec

3- FUNCTION : SOFT START

* This version also has a built-in soft start, to limit the inrush current on transformer start-up. This solves the problem of inrush current or starting spikes and prevents the input breaker or dock pedestal breaker from tripping, which can occasionally be a headache.
